Alex Blanco has been riding for BreakBrake17 and Spike Parts for a few months now. He has been testing all the new up-and-coming parts from them. Here is a bikecheck of Alex’s Charmer v2 setup. We are so hyped about this weekend’s Red Bull RiDE+Style FGFS event (Justin Herman Plaza, SF. 12pm-4pm). It’s been awesome seeing all the international riders from overseas make their way to the shop this past week. Both Simon Gomok and Oscar Khan have spent some time with us and these two guys are solid. It’s going to be great to see all the riders together in one place again.

Even though we weren’t able to directly sponsor this year’s RiDE+Style we will still be there in full force. We’ve got 9 of our riders competing in the actual event. We are just excited to see how much more everyone has progressed and how much further our sport has come in a year’s time.

Bring Back the Arts! is about building community and fostering creativity while engaging youth in positive expression through the arts, providing young people the skills to become your innovative, problem solving workforce of the future. Bring Back the Arts! is centered around a spirited event that promotes creativity and unity, celebrating San Jose’s diverse cultures through various forms of creative expression including art, dance, skateboarding, and music, while raising the funds needed to employ local non-profit organizations to teach art, dance, and music at local K-8 schools.

Our boy Matt Reyes put together this legit edit of Jonah Kessel’s Norcal visit. This kid is young but he rips harder then some riders twice his age.

iMiNUSD and Grime held a no-notice pop-up jam in a Downtown San Jose bum park. The Don’t Nark In The Park Jam features riding from Ed Wonka, Gabe Alcantara, Alex Blanco, Matt Montoya, Christian Hamrick, Jeff Dempler, and Mike Schmitt. For a mellow BBQ day some pretty technical tricks went down. I almost can’t even tell some of the switch tricks apart from the natural ones. The scene out here is so next level, there must be something in that San Jose water that the government isn’t telling us about.
