Matt Reyes popped off this photo of our boy Jakob Santos while he was in San Jose for the weekend. We don’t get to see Jake too often anymore, so it’s always a pleasure when we do. He’s one of our few riders that doesn’t live in the Bay. Jake is a beast on a bike, and has been pushing the limits of Fixed Freestyle since day 1. Don’t let his macho man hairstyle and tattoos fool you, he’s one of the most humble dudes you’ll ever meet.

Alex Blanco Video Bikecheck

Red Bull RiDE+Style 2012

We are so hyped about this weekend’s Red Bull RiDE+Style FGFS event (Justin Herman Plaza, SF. 12pm-4pm). It’s been awesome seeing all the international riders from overseas make their way to the shop this past week. Both Simon Gomok and Oscar Khan have spent some time with us and these two guys are solid. It’s going to be great to see all the riders together in one place again.

Even though we weren’t able to directly sponsor this year’s RiDE+Style we will still be there in full force. We’ve got 9 of our riders competing in the actual event. We are just excited to see how much more everyone has progressed and how much further our sport has come in a year’s time.

Do not miss out on this event. We will be passing out some goodie/swag bags that will have some special discount offers. Come and find us to get yours. Keep your eye out for Team iMD this Saturday.

btw- Our shop will be closed this Saturday for this EPIC event.

iMiNUSD and Grime held a no-notice pop-up jam in a Downtown San Jose bum park. The Don’t Nark In The Park Jam features riding from Ed Wonka, Gabe Alcantara, Alex Blanco, Matt Montoya, Christian Hamrick, Jeff Dempler, and Mike Schmitt. For a mellow BBQ day some pretty technical tricks went down. I almost can’t even tell some of the switch tricks apart from the natural ones. The scene out here is so next level, there must be something in that San Jose water that the government isn’t telling us about.

BreakBrake17: Transfer Frame

The new BreakBrake17 Transfer track frame is just beautiful. With triple triangle pursuit geometry and Columbus Cromor tubing the combination is pure genius. We got the chance to take the prototype out for a spin and it is solid and fast. It has the feel of steel but the quick handling and aggressiveness of “lo pro” aluminum frames. The Transfer will be available in 3 sizes, 53cm-57cm, and will also include the matching fork and headset. Pre-order’s for the frameset are now open.
